About:
Jonah is a 29-year-old Theatre Maker originating from Brighton and Hove and currently based in Newcastle. Jonah has won 2 x Children and Young People Awards and a Offie award for 'Father Unknown'.
Jonah has worked nationally with a variety of different community groups, theatres, universities and local authorities to enable creative opportunities and evaluate current working models. As part of Jonah's work, he has created the first peer lead E-Learning platform for young dads DigiDAD (www.DigiDAD.uk), worked with such theatres as The Globe, The National Theatre and The Society of Theatre Research, helped form Timbadash Theatre (a new multi-sensory theatre company for children with additional needs) and published work with Newcastle University, Northumbria University and The University of Lincoln.
Jonah graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) with first-class honours. Jonah's other training has included being part of the graduate program with Tmesis Physical Theatre company and receiving the Poel Event Prize with The National Theatre and The Society of Theatre Research.
Jonah is committed to creating work across the country and often works with a variety of artists, theatres, arts buildings and communities.
